Flavours And Wines

On this excursion in the south of the island you will discover the most authentic flavours of the island of Tenerife and its admired and renowned wines.

We will start our day with a visit to a banana plantation: Finca Las Margaritas. There you will learn about the cultivation of our star fruit, the banana.

You will be taken on a tour of the farm where they will explain how bananas were grown in the past, how gofio is obtained, and you will taste products made from bananas, gofio and palm honey, as well as other tropical fruits.

Our second stop will be one of the two most recognized wineries on the island: Mencey de Chasna. We will make a guided tour of the winery, its facilities and machinery and you will learn everything about the winemaking process. At the end of this visit you can enjoy a wine tasting.

We will continue our tour enjoying the marvellous views offered by the mountain road towards Vilaflor. There we will arrive at Lagar de Chasna, where we will have a wine tasting during a delicious lunch in which you will delight yourself with the best of the Canarian gastronomy.

Finally, we will finish our excursion at an aloe vera farm in Arona, where we will visit its ecological plantations and discover how the natural gel of this plant with highly beneficial health properties is cultivated and obtained.

Included: Air conditioned bus. Guide with comments. Visit and wine tasting in two wineries. Lunch.

Great day out! The guide Peter and our driver Aldo were brilliant, very nice and very supportive( I have a mobility problem) The tour was very informative, we were taken to a banana plantation , two wineries and an Aloe Vera farm The guide was very informative and you could tell he had experience as he certainly knew his stuff! I wouldn’t hesitate to use Atlantico again

We could not have had a better day out. Fonz our guide for the day was amazing, funny and so knowledgeable. The food and wine were all fantastic and Pablo at the winery was a delight to meet, he entertained the group. It was a small group which made the day even better. We learned a lot and laughed a lot. I would highly recommend this trip.
