Sunset And Stars On Teide

Enjoy an enchanting sunset and watch the stars shine like nowhere else.

Feel the thrill of watching the breathtaking sunset from the highest peak in Spain. The Teide cable car will take you to an altitude of 3,555m to enjoy the spectacle of Teide's shadow on the horizon.

After sunset, you can enjoy a picnic dinner at the Cable Car Base Station.

The sky of the Teide National Park is one of the best on the planet for stargazing. After dinner, located in the car park at the base station of the cable car, our Starlight guides will show you the fascinating world of the night sky with the help of their long-range telescopes.

Duration: Approximately 8 hours.

Note: Pick-up will be at the meeting point closest to your hotel. (Pick-up is not offered from Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago, Callao Salvaje, Playa Paraíso, El Médano, Golf del Sur, and Costa del Silencio.)

Restrictions :

Anyone wearing open-toed shoes (sandals), shorts, or short sleeves will be denied entry to the excursion. Appropriate attire is essential due to the low temperatures during the activity.
Children under 8 years old are not allowed on this night excursion to Teide.
Since the excursion includes the use of the Teide Cable Car, people with cardiovascular problems and pregnant women are not allowed due to the risk of health damage caused by the altitude.
People with health problems should consult their doctor before starting this night hike to Mount Teide.
According to current regulations, people with physical or motor disabilities are also not allowed to ascend by cable car, due to reasons related to evacuation risks.
It is important to note that in the event that the facilities cease to function due to unexpected technical reasons, people at the upper station would have to descend on foot via steep mountain trails.
No pets allowed.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

In the event that weather conditions do not permit the operation of the cable car for the Sunset & Stars activity, the sunset can be enjoyed from the Chio viewpoint or from Los Roques de García, and the amount of €71.00 will be refunded to adults and €50.00 to children in the case of non-residents, and €49.50 to adults and €35.00 to children in the case of residents, corresponding to the round trip. If weather conditions prevent astronomical observation, €35.00 will be refunded per adult and €30.00 per child in the case of non-residents, and €24.50 per adult and €21.00 per child in the case of residents.

Accessibility:

This activity is accessible to people with reduced mobility, provided that the degree of disability allows them to board the bus on their own.
At some of the stops, the terrain may be uneven or have slopes, which may make the journey difficult.
If you are bringing a wheelchair or other mobility aid, it must be foldable so that it can be placed in the bus's luggage compartment.

Sunset without the stars

Unfortunately due to the night sky conditions, we were NOT able to view the night sky . We ONLY booked the trip for the night sky. Would would not have chose this trip but , as this was the only trip available via the hotel . We decided to book it as this was the reason for returning to Tenerife . So nice polite guide , coach very old and uncomfortable . Night sky experience cancelled .

Excursión al Teide

Para mi esta excursión fue completisima aprendi mucho y pase una tarde-noche inmejorable. Todo el personal estaba muy bien preparado y fuerón amabilisimos en todo momento, el catering estupendo, en fin todo. Muchas gracias por esta noche inolvidable.
